I took several photos of Monarch butterflies with a slow shutter speed (about 1/40 second) trying to get some motion - this is the best. 8-22-2009.

Snakebird (Anhinga) walking on water on lot A-1 My wife planted this rose but the spider has made it home 590 Boling Ranch Rd - our oldest son designed the basic house on a grocery sack and built two in Keller.  My son-in-law put the design on the computer and later sold the plan to Sandlin.

Armadillo in our yard - "The National Roadkill of Texas" Wild Bluebonnets This Eastern Bluebird was dive bombing me - must be a little one on the ground nearby.
Killdeer Nest with 4 eggs - in the middle of a mowed field  - note all the eggs point towards the middle - good housekeeper!!! Killdeer flopping around on the ground trying to distract me away from the nest. I found the Bluebird on the ground.  I put it back into the tree much to the aggrivation of the parents.
Sunflower in our yard. Fireworks at the Botanical Gardens - not Boling Ranch - on July 4th. This cardinal stopped for about 2 seconds - luckily I had a camera aimed in the general direction.
