Hawk - taken by Robert Deering January 2012 through upstairs window at their home

This photo requires some explanation.  I noticed a roadrunner jumping up and down and
generally acting strange.  Then he started pecking on something and then grabbed it.  "It" was
a rubber snake that I had put out there and then forgot about.  Luckily, he stayed around long
enough for me to grab my camera.  After this he chased a few crows out of the yard.  Tough guy.

This is one of the funniest things I have seen - a roadrunner nipping the tail of a rubber snake in our backyard - July 29, 2011.

Fawn by our backdoor June 1, 2011 - stayed there all day. Spent the day on our porch June 3rd.
