• Nearby Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth have public access for boating and recreation.  Many other area lakes also provide swimming, excellent fishing, water skiing and boating. 

• Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and Fort Worth Zoo are a lot of fun.  Check out the annual live butterfly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens. 

• Local golf courses abound including Cross Timbers in Azle, Squaw Creek in Willow Park, and Lost Creek Golf Club in Aledo.  There are many others too numerous to mention. 

• The local Azle Independent School District at all levels is very competitive in sports and the arts.
